This is the cover for my upcoming Tor.com short story, “Jacks and Queens at the Green Mill.” Gorgeous, is it not? The illustration is by the stunningly talented Victo Ngai. The story is set in Prohibition Era Chicago and involves champagne, scars, a machine gun, and a card game with very high stakes.
