My Medical Records, Addendum
Thanks to Dr. Joleen for schooling me in the ways of measuring swollen joints! And for properly diagnosing my mental state. And for being such an awesome friend, and the most fashionable doctor I know (who else could make earrings and tell you about the various kinds of heart murmurs?).
Ok, I used “and” way too much in that last paragraph.
I wanted to say one thing about my last post. The doctor who stuck the needle in my knee was doing the right thing. When I reread the post, I thought it sounded like I was angry with the doctor, when in fact he was super competent. My purpose in telling that section of the story was mostly to illustrate how surprised I was that he would write that I took the aspiration well, since it certainly didn’t feel that way.
Next week we shall see if this blog can be used as a teaching device….actually, I’m sure it can. Probably lots of profs do this. And at least somebody will be reading my blog (I mean, besides Joleen and Ivan), because my students have to. Mwha ha ha ha ha….
