ARC Giveaway
I have three advance reader copies (otherwise known as ARCs) of The Jewel of the Kalderash. ARCs are bound, paperback versions of books that will come out in a few months (Jewel comes out in October of this year). They have some typos, but they have basically the same content as the final version. They are usually sent out to reviewers and other people in the publishing industry.
Want an ARC of Jewel? If so, follow these steps:
1. Read this whole post before you do anything!
2. Email me at Marie@MarieRutkoski.com (you can also click on the link here). Do this on or before May 15.
3. Tell me your name and age
4. Tell me which character in the Kronos Chronicles series you like best and why.
I will then pull three names from a hat and email the winners to ask them for their addresses to mail the books. So if you are under 18, show this post to your parents before you enter to win an ARC, and ask them if it’s ok to tell me your home address (or any address where you could could receive the package) if you win.
I will announce the winners on May 20th. I will also share (on my website) some or all what people wrote about their favorite characters. I won’t use your full name; on the website, it’ll look something like,
“I like Tomik best because he’s smart and loyal. My favorite scene was when he escaped from the crew of the Pacolet.”

Is there a certian age group? Like is it 10 up or something like that or is it for all ages?

It’s for all ages, Laura! I’m going to be pulling names from a hat, so anyone of any age can win.
I’m asking for people’s ages only because I’m curious about who my readers are, and because when the drawing of names is over, and I post some of the things that people wrote, I think that readers of my blog would like to know the age of the writers.
Does that make sense?

I have read the whole Kronos Chronicles! But I’m sure everyone else who has read the series wants to know if there is going to be a fourth book. I just love the books you write!

I’m so glad you like my books! As for a summary, you can find those on a lot of websites, including Amazon, Powell’s, Barnes and Nobel, and Goodreads.
As for the Harry Potter books, I love them!

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, there won’t be a fourth book. But I do have other projects I’m working on, including a YA novel that will be published this fall. It’s called The Shadow Society and it’s about a girl who doesn’t know she’s not human until a mysterious boy arrives at her high school.
