NYC Teen Author Festival

The NYC Teen Author Festival begins next week! Tons of fabulous authors are participating, so if you live in the New York City area, come!
The first event will be on Monday, and I’ll be presenting. See below! I’m going to be reading a brief selection from a novel I just finished. It’s a YA fantasy romance that has nothing to do with the Kronos Chronicles, and that’s all I’m going to say about it here.
Monday, March 15
NYPL, Tompkins Square Branch, 331 East 10th Street (New York, NY)
6:00-7:30 p.m.

This past week I taught Bridge to Terabithia, which never fails to make me cry, even in public places. Such a beautiful, simple book. Does anyone know if its possible to get prints of the illustrations by Donna Diamond?
This upcoming Tuesday I’ll be teaching my Cabinet of Wonders, which makes me a little uncertain. For the longest time, I thought it’d be awkward to teach my own novel, but when I explained this to a colleague, she said, “Yeah, you need to get over that.” She said it’d be an opportunity for them. I’m not sure, but we shall see! An experiment! (this is, if you haven’t guessed, for a children’s lit class).
