Unexploded
I’m visiting my family in Bolingbrook, and sleeping in my brother Jonothan’s old room. Jonothan is in the army, and left behind a book called A Soldier’s Manual of Common Tasks. I was flipping through it, and learned that there was great attention paid to the care of feet. There’s information about how to clean a machine gun (shudder), how to use night vision goggles, etc. Also, I discovered that if you find an unexploded bomb (Unexploded ordinance, or “UXO”), you should never make a radio transmission wihin 100 meters of it, because it could blow up. All very interesting.
